Why You Should Consider a Bathroom Remodel

Are you frustrated with your existing bathroom? An outdated bathroom can put a cramp in your style. While you may have updated your furniture, towels, and other bathroom items, old faucets, dingy bathtubs, and rusted shower enclosures can bring down your otherwise impeccable style. However, many people wonder if doing a full bathroom remodel is worth it. At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, our goal is to help you feel confident when you begin your bathroom remodel.

There are many benefits to remodeling your bathroom, including:

  • Improvement in the overall condition of your bathroom
  • Creates a more functional, efficient space
  • The space is cleaner, and moisture problems or leaks can be taken care of
  • Improved energy and water efficiency
  • Makes your home more attractive to home buyers with an increased property value

We think that the decision to remodel your bathroom should be an exciting one. One of the best parts of the process is selecting the products and materials you will include in your new bathroom. Once all of your new products are selected, we can begin work. First, the bathroom is stripped, and the plumbing, wiring, and fixtures are installed based on your new floorplan. Your bathroom is then completed with flooring, tiling, and painting. The result is a bathroom that is stylish and modern.

Custom Bathtub & Shower Liners

In addition to our superior bathroom remodeling contractors in Marlborough, Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling is well-known for our custom-made bathtub and shower liners. Marlborough Fiberglass Enclosures & Reglazing Services

Marlborough Fiberglass Enclosures & Reglazing Services

Restore Your New England Bathroom with Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling

If you are looking for an affordable yet beautiful way to overhaul your bathroom, you should consider installing a fiberglass shower enclosure or reglazing your existing tub or shower. Both of these methods can totally transform the look of your bathroom and are significantly less costly than more extensive remodeling options. They offer a high level of customization and allow you to make your bathroom speak directly to your personal sense of style.

Since 2006, Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling has served customers throughout New England. Our Marlborough fiberglass enclosure and reglazing specialists are all factory-trained and offer top-quality results. As a company, we are committed to customer service and satisfaction. We believe you deserve the best, and we only work with the highest quality of materials.

The Benefits of Fiberglass

Many people mistakenly conflate acrylic showers and tubs with fiberglass. While acrylic shower and bath products may be reinforced with glass, fiberglass is a product in which woven glass fibers are mixed with a polyester resin. This mixture is then put into a mold, forming your shower enclosure. Fiberglass showers have many benefits and can be installed quickly. In some cases, our Marlborough fiberglass shower installation crews can have your new shower installed in a single day.

Some of the benefits of installing a fiberglass shower enclosure include:

  • Affordability
  • A wide variety of models on the market
  • Ease of repair and patching
  • Can be resurfaced easily
  • Easy to clean and maintain
  • Has a lifespan of 10 to 15 years

New cast iron or steel bathtubs can cost thousands of dollars. If you are looking for a quick, affordable solution to your old, run-down tub or shower, you should consider installing a fiberglass shower or tub.

Marlborough Fiberglass Enclosures & Reglazing Services

Reglazing & Refinishing

The finish on your fiberglass shower enclosure is what protects it from damage. Over time, fiberglass tubs and shower enclosures can become discolored or stained. This does not mean it has to be replaced. Even small cracks and other damage can often be repaired. Fiberglass reglazing is a process by which our Marlborough fiberglass experts apply a new finish to your existing shower or tub. This will transform your bath and brighten your whole space.

Our reglazing specialists in Marlborough can refinish:

  • Countertops
  • Showers
  • Sinks
  • Tubs

Fiberglass reglazing is an easy process that helps you extend the lifespan of your existing shower enclosure. While many people have negative assumptions about fiberglass shower enclosures, we know the truth. Fiberglass is a versatile product that makes bathroom remodeling projects come together smoothly and efficiently.

Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling also offers refinishing services for other materials. We can help you refinish tile walls and other bathroom surfaces. To learn more, call us today.

When You Need a Professional, Call Us

As a local bathroom remodeling business in Marlborough, we know how important exceptional customer service is to our customers. As a company, we believe that when you take care of your customers, everything will fall into place. All of our fiberglass shower enclosure and reglazing professionals are all field-tested and prepared to handle any size remodeling project. Improving Bathroom Accessibility

You know how difficult it can be to navigate your average bathroom if you or someone you love has mobility issues. Most bathrooms are not designed with the needs of everyone in mind. This can be incredibly frustrating and can restrict your ability to live independently. However, you do have options. More and more people are discovering how easy it can be to convert your bathroom to one that is ADA compliant. Additionally, making your bathroom more accessible does not require a full bathroom remodel. Often there are just a few small adjustments that can be made that will make a world of difference.

We offer a wide range of ADA compliant products, including:

At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we believe everyone deserves to have a safe, accessible bathroom. We also know that financing a full bathroom remodel can be difficult. This is why we offer a wide range of bathroom accessibility products, and we can help you select the items and materials that will best fit your needs and budget.

Bathroom Accessibility Remodel

Custom Tub to Shower Conversions

Traditional bathtubs pose a significant slip and fall hazard. Additionally, if you utilize a wheelchair or other mobility aid, you may not be able to access a traditional tub. Tub to shower conversions offer a fast, affordable solution to this problem. By removing your old tub and replacing it with an accessible shower, your bathroom becomes more functional and often appears bigger. You can also use this conversion as an opportunity to adjust your shower’s footprint, making it more convenient and suited to your personal needs.

Other conversion projects that can improve accessibility include:

  • Replacing your existing tub with a walk-in tub or a tub cut out to lower the curb on the tub while maintaining the bathing functionality
  • Converting a shower with a high curb to a low-profile curb or barrier-free shower base
  • Installing more permanent chairs and benches in your shower enclosure
  • Customizing your faucet installation with ADA compliant shower systems and faucets

Converting your bathroom and making it more accessible is within reach. Even if you do not need an accessible bathroom today, this does not mean you will not need it in the future. It is in everyone’s best interest to make bathrooms more accessible. As we age and our lives change, our needs change. Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling can help you ensure your bathroom is functional and safe for years to come.

Your Safety Comes First

At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we care about our customers. Since 2006, we have helped residents in Marlborough make their bathrooms more comfortable and accessible. We can use our knowledge and experience to help you, too. Our accessibility specialists have the know-how and training to get the job done, from designing a full bathroom remodel that brings your bathroom up to ADA standards to making small adjustments that make your bathroom more livable. No job is too big or too small.

Bathtub & Shower Bases in Marlborough

Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling Will Transform Your New England Bathroom

Did you know that with an acrylic bathtub base, your bathwater will stay warm for 30% longer? Additionally, acrylic tub and shower bases are grout-free, making cleaning up after that bubble bath quick and easy. More and more people are discovering the benefits of acrylic tub and shower bases. At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we can help you convert your bathtub or shower to a new base, and achieve the stylish look you are going for.

We have been part of New England since 2006, and for over 10 years, we have provided customers with superior bathtub and shower base installation services in Marlborough. Whether you’re replacing an old, worn-out bathtub with a new one or changing your shower’s footprint, we can get the job done.

Bathtub Replacements

Many homes have bathtubs that are made with cast iron, steel, or fiberglass. While durable, they are not the most practical materials to have in your home. All of these materials require a special finish on them to keep them in good condition, and this finish wears out and becomes stained. Additionally, many cast iron tubs are not well cared for and suffer from rust and leaks.

You should consider replacing your bathtub with an acrylic model if:

  • Your old tub is damaged, rusted or leaking
  • Your old tub is stained and visually unappealing
  • You are looking for something affordable with a lot of design options
  • You want a tub that is easy to clean and durable

If you are tired of looking at your old tub, and you’re ready for a new one, call us. Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling can remove your old, worn-out bathtub and replace it with a luxurious acrylic bathtub. Our tubs are available in a wide range of sizes and configurations. No matter your design needs, we have the tub for you.

Installing a New Shower Base

Your shower base is what is installed at the very bottom of your shower. It is what directs the water down the drain, and not out into your bathroom. You may have heard your shower base referred to as your “shower pan,” as well. A shower base is necessary for every shower. If you are remodeling your bathroom or converting your shower, you will need to consider what type of shower base you want, and how you want it finished.

When selecting your new shower base, you will need to decide what curb height you want:

  • Full height curb
  • Mid-rise curb
  • Low profile curb
  • Dual curb
  • Ramped curb
  • No barrier accessible shower bases

Many people are moving towards low profile curbs or shower bases with no curb at all. This is because curbs on shower bases pose a severe slip and fall hazard and cause accessibility issues for many users. At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we offer a full range of shower bases, and we can help you select the one that is right for you.

Custom Acrylic Showers & Tubs

Bathrooms are very personal, and everyone has their own idea about what the perfect bathroom looks like. At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we offer fully custom acrylic shower and tub installations. All of our tubs and shower bases are made of 100% virgin acrylic and come in dozens of color and design options. With an infinite variety of sizes and configurations, you can design a bathroom that is truly one-of-a-kind. Our Marlborough bathtub and shower base installation professionals are factory trained and have the experience needed to handle even the most complicated remodeling project. As a company, we are focused on providing reliable installation services to every customer, with no exceptions.

Tub Liners & Fitters in Marlborough

Get the Bathtub You Want with Help from Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling

Is your bathtub dull and discolored? Perhaps its finish has worn off, and you wish you could give it an update. Transform your tub and brighten your bathroom with a state-of-the-art custom tub liner from Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling. We can remodel your bathroom and transform your life by installing a beautiful 100% acrylic bathtub and shower liner over your existing old tub or shower. This provides a versatile, affordable option when you want to refresh your bathroom but don’t want to do a full bathroom remodel.

For over ten years, our bathroom remodeling crews have been professionally installing tub liners and fitters across New England. Our entire team is factory trained so you can rest assured that your liner or fitter will be installed correctly and precisely. When you hire Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, you will always receive fast, reliable installation services.

Advantages of Tub Liners

Many people ask us why they should install a tub liner or fitter instead of replacing their entire tub and shower enclosure. The two most significant benefits are their affordability and their durability. Did you know that acrylic, like that found in our liners, is used in Corian countertops, football helmets, and even airplane windshields? But the advantages of installing a custom acrylic bathtub liner or fitter doesn’t stop there.

The benefits of installing a tub liner in your Marlborough home include:

  • More affordable
  • Faster installation timeline
  • Less mess
  • Mold and mildew resistant
  • Easy cleaning with no-grout wall liners
  • A long lifespan
  • Will never chip, crack, dent, rust, or peel

Tub fitters are also great for people who are looking to refresh the look of their tub, but don’t want to go through the hassle of a weeks-long bathroom remodel. Our factory-trained installation crews can often complete the installation of your tub liner in just one day. This means you have virtually no downtime, and your bathroom is up and ready to go in the blink of an eye.

We Have Dozens of Design Options

Replacing your tub with a new one can be expensive and time-consuming. However, with a new tub liner or fitter, you can have a stylish, new bathtub in no time. Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling offers custom tub and shower liners that are formed to fix your existing tub or shower enclosure like a glove. Once we have covered your existing bathtub, we can then cover your old wall panels with beautiful acrylic panels. This brings a fresh look to your entire bathroom.

When designing your new tub liner and fitter, you can customize the look with:

  • Dozens of color options
  • A variety of styles and patterns
  • Select finishes and patterns that beautifully mimic tile, marble, and granite
  • Include custom add-on accessories, including soap dishes, corner caddies, shelves, temperature control valves, shower doors, and grab bars

We will strip your existing tub on installation day, including removing all faucets, fixtures, and other accessories. We will then install your custom tub liner and wall surrounds over your existing tub. Once this is completed, your old faucets, fixtures, and accessories (or new ones) will be installed to your exact specifications.

We Invest in Quality

At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we believe in only working with the best materials. All of our custom tub liners and fitters are made from 100% virgin acrylic. We want our customers to be fully satisfied with their new bathrooms, and we know that this is achieved by hiring the best installation crews and providing the best services. Make Your Bathroom More Functional with Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling

Many homes are built with bathrooms that feature a tub/shower combo unit. Usually, these tubs are rectangular and quite cramped. Consequently, many people don’t use the tub feature and wish they had a walk-in shower instead. Now, it’s possible! At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we offer professional, beautiful tub to shower conversions in Marlborough and throughout New England.

Tub to shower conversions are remarkably quick to install and can be done with almost any tub/shower combo. Whether you want a floor-to-ceiling tile or marble shower with glass doors, or an acrylic shower base and wall panels, we can make your bathroom gorgeous and functional.

Why You Should Convert Your Tub to a Shower

As our lives have become busier, baths are not as popular as they once were. Additionally, with water conservation efforts on the rise, more and more people are electing to take showers. This means that many residential bathtubs are taking up valuable bathroom space. This can be solved, and your life made easier, through a tub to shower conversion.

The benefits of converting your tub to a shower include:

  • Reduced water consumption
  • Less time spent cleaning
  • Shower enclosures can have a smaller footprint and take up less space
  • Your bathroom is streamlined and stylish, often appearing larger and brighter
  • Your shower is more accessible for those who need it
  • Less likely to have slip and fall accidents
  • A fresh, new shower is a great selling point for potential home buyers

Additionally, with custom-made acrylic shower bases and wall surrounds, you no longer have to spend hours cleaning grout! At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we specialize in tub to shower conversions. The process can be done quickly and easily, often completed in one day. This means that you have a functional shower again in no time.

The Tub to Shower Conversion Process

The process of converting your bathtub to a walk-in shower is remarkably fast. The first step is consulting with our Marlborough tub to shower conversion design specialists to select your new shower enclosure materials and fixtures. Once all of your products have been selected, and the appropriate sizes ordered, we can get started.

Your shower conversion will involve:

  • Removing your old tub
  • Moving any necessary plumbing
  • Installing new faucets or relocating old ones
  • Installing your new shower base, wall panels, tile, and other materials
  • Shower door installation
  • Installation of grab bars, towel racks, and any special features

When converting your tub to a shower, you have a lot of design options. While some people elect to go with floor-to-ceiling tile, others prefer to have a custom-made shower base and wall panel. Our custom shower liners and wall surrounds come in dozens of colors and designs and can be made to match any style.

We Have a Reputation for Excellence

At Custom Bath and Kitchen Remodeling, we specialize in all types of tub to shower conversions. We can design showers with a built-in seat, well-spaced grab bars, and easy to clean, grout-free walls for the confidence of knowing you have the safest and most comfortable bath environment possible.
